This Privacy Policy explains how Lawn Daddy LLC (“Lawn Daddy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website at lawndaddy.ai, join our waitlist, or use the Lawn Daddy mobile application (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated as you use the Service, and limited information from third parties.

Information you provide

  • Waitlist signups. When you join the waitlist, we collect your first name, email address, the page or button that prompted you to sign up, and how you heard about Lawn Daddy.
  • Account information. When the Lawn Daddy app launches, we will collect the information needed to create and operate your account, such as your name, email, and password (or sign-in identifier from Apple or Google).
  • Yard and lawn information. Information you provide about your property, such as your zip code or location, grass type, yard size, photos of your lawn, and notes about issues you are trying to solve.
  • Conversations with the AI. Messages, questions, and images you send to the in-app AI assistant, along with the assistant’s responses.
  • Customer support. Information you share when you contact us, such as the contents of your message and any attachments.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data. We may collect device identifiers, operating system, app version, language, time zone, and information about how you interact with the Service (for example, which features you use and when).
  • Diagnostic data. Crash reports and performance data so we can fix bugs and improve the app.
  • IP address. Used to estimate region (for weather and seasonal guidance) and to protect the Service from abuse.

Information from third parties

  • App stores. If you sign up or subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, those stores share limited account and purchase information with us.
  • Sign-in providers. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information you authorize them to share.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • Personalize your lawn calendar, recommendations, and AI conversations based on your yard, region, and history;
  • Send transactional messages, such as waitlist confirmations, account notices, and responses to your support requests;
  • Send product updates and marketing communications you have asked to receive (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Process subscriptions and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity;
  • Debug, analyze, and improve the Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI and your data

Lawn Daddy uses third-party large language model providers to power the in-app AI assistant. When you chat with the assistant or upload a photo for diagnosis, the content of that conversation (including images) is sent to those providers so they can generate a response.

We choose providers that offer enterprise data terms prohibiting them from using your content to train their models. We do not sell your conversations or photos, and we do not use them to train third-party models without your consent. We may use de-identified and aggregated information to evaluate and improve the Service.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors that help us run the Service, including hosting and database providers, AI model providers, analytics, error tracking, email delivery, customer support, and subscription management. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
  • App stores and payment processors. Apple and Google process subscription purchases on our behalf and handle the related payment information directly under their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements. When we believe disclosure is required to comply with a law, regulation, court order, or valid government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lawn Daddy, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Lawn Daddy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
  • With your consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide the Service, and as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request that we delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, email support@lawndaddy.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any message we send. Transactional messages (such as account or security notices) cannot be opted out of while you have an account.

7. Children’s privacy

Lawn Daddy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International users

Lawn Daddy is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will let you know by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by sending you a notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
